Not only Does Ethanol suck because it is a pointless alternative to gasoline which is neither cheaper (Thanks to Government subsidies it is now), or more efficient (Read here), it has finally broken the proverbial camel's back. Ethanol great alternative get less performance and less MPG than gasoline, and when the subsidies expire pay more for less, AWESOME(who in their right mind thought of this).
Ethanol is now a cause for a rise in beer prices, and a shortage of hops, I can't blame the farmers for wanting a crop that produces more money for them. But damnit if I have to pay more for beer and as the article states can no longer get certain beer. My favorite beer mostly found in microbreweries will suffer the most, since certain hops raised nearly 5 times in price, and others are no longer available.
The madness must stop, we must stop the production of ethanol, and save the beer. Will no one think of the beer?

See, this is why discrediting scientists does no good. Now when people do stupid things no one even knows why it's dumb.
Save petroleum by using food? How stupid is that? You're not going to make fuel prices cheaper. Well maybe in the short short short term you will. Inevitably you will run into the line where prices for food go up and prices for fuel will follow suit.
People are starving, but as long as I can drive my car, I don't care...
